“ …and the Kneebone's Connected to the Thighbone”

Remember that little ditty, “Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones” What I want to know is, does anybody remember if there was a bit that said: “...and the head bone's connected to the neck bone, and the neck bone's connected to the torso bone,...”

The point that I raise is how quickly we forget that the mind and the body work together. People do not even realise how much stress they can be put under caring for someone who is depressed.

This chapter focuses very clearly on practical coping skills for the caregiver. Input from a respiratory physiotherapist is also included to help with breathing skills. Acknowledging the 'burden of care' and the importance of self-care. How to identify stress and various coping skills are highlighted in this chapter.
